The first of our regular food and wine evenings took place recently showcasing wines from South Africa. The event was very well supported by Lindsay from our wine suppliers Wine Poole together with Mark from the importers. The wines were expertly matched to the specially prepared South African style three course menu. Lindsay also provided some informative talks about the producers, their wines and the South African wine industry. Several customers took the opportunity to purchase cases of some of the wines directly from Wine Poole during the evening, although there is no obligation or pressure to buy .
During the year menus will be created especially for the events with each course matched to the selected wines.
